Rocky Patel, Vintage 1992 Cigar Review

March 7, 2017

Most of Rocky Patel's series are devoted to the strong and self-assured smoking pleasure. This is no different at Vintage 1992, rated "Cigar Aficionado" with 90 points. The premium cigars, which have already been created with their appearance for respect and recognition, demand and seduce and are something for experienced smokers. This is where you can decide from 2014, among other things, for the impressive Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Churchill, which is best enjoyed if you have already experienced with the series (eg with the Robusto).

The high-quality Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Churchill from Honduras is based on high-quality tobacco, which will not be encountered in this way so quickly. Nicaragua not only supplies the seven-year ripened leaf, but also a part of the coherent intermixing mixture. The Dominican Republic offers the remaining one-day tobacco for the box-pressed cigar. The hand-rolled Churchill of her relatives from the vintage 1990 line resembles this. Through her cover, however, she stands out and gets a lot of attention. The oily, dark sumatra cover leaf from the Ecuadorian cultivation was stored for a decade and exerts an inimitable influence on the smoking experience.

If one takes the domineering Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Churchill from Central America to mind, one gets the benefit of rich, spirited, multi-layered spices. The striking smoke shows itself from the powerful side and sounds long after. Cedar wood, earth, chocolate and coffee characterize the aroma and taste together with the cocoa and roasted flavour. The large format is 17.8 cm long and 1, 9 cm thick. It unfolds creamy soft smoke.

The burn is even all the way down, providing a good, stable ash. Although it will only go to about an inch and a half before it will remove itself, it does not effect the burn or taste.

On the whole, an excellent cigar. Do not be fooled by the dork leaf thinking this is a maduro, There is no harshness, or high nicotine output, but more mild and flavoursome. This is best enjoyed with a quality dark chocolate to compliment the flavours.
